Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and ByteStrats GmbH, a company incorporated under Swiss law with its registered office in Zug, Switzerland ("ByteStrats GmbH", "we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using Rivex ("the Platform", "the Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

Rivex is a data aggregation and information platform that collects, processes, and displays publicly available and licensed third-party data relating to energy commodity markets. The Platform provides price data, market analytics, AI-generated content, storage and flow data, vessel tracking information, and other market-related information for informational purposes only.

Rivex is not a trading platform, brokerage, exchange, or financial services provider of any kind.

Free Trial: New subscribers receive a 14-day free trial. No payment is required to begin the trial. You will not be charged until day 15 of your subscription unless you cancel before that date.

Plans: Rivex offers Professional (CHF 149/month or CHF 1,639/year) and Team (CHF 399/month or CHF 4,389/year) subscription plans. All prices are shown in Swiss Francs (CHF). VAT or local taxes may apply depending on your jurisdiction.

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Pricing Changes: ByteStrats GmbH reserves the right to adjust pricing with at least 30 days written notice. Current subscribers will be notified via email before any price change takes effect.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the Platform until that date.

Refunds: ByteStrats GmbH may, at its sole discretion, issue pro-rata refunds in exceptional circumstances. We are not obligated to issue refunds for partial subscription periods unless required by applicable Swiss consumer law.

Payment Processing: Payments are processed by Stripe. Your payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe in accordance with their privacy and security standards. ByteStrats GmbH does not store your full payment card details.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Platform by automated means
• Redistribute, resell, license, or sublicense any data or content from the Platform to third parties
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or algorithms of the Platform
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform
• Share your account credentials with any third party

All content, code, design, user interface, trademarks, service marks, logos, trade names, and all other intellectual property on or related to Rivex and the Platform are the exclusive property of ByteStrats GmbH and are protected by Swiss and international intellectual property laws.

Rivex is a registered product of ByteStrats GmbH. All rights reserved. No part of the Platform may be reproduced, modified, distributed, or used in any manner without the prior written consent of ByteStrats GmbH.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Swiss law, ByteStrats GmbH's total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total subscription fees actually paid by you to ByteStrats GmbH in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

ByteStrats GmbH shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or any other intangible losses, even if ByteStrats GmbH has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ByteStrats GmbH, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and data providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or relating to your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

ByteStrats GmbH does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuous availability of the Platform. The Platform may be subject to scheduled maintenance, unscheduled downtime, or interruptions beyond our control. ByteStrats GmbH shall not be liable for any damages arising from service unavailability.

ByteStrats GmbH reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that ByteStrats GmbH, in its sole discretion, determines to be harmful to the Platform, other users, or ByteStrats GmbH itself.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Platform shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Canton of Zug, Switzerland.

ByteStrats GmbH reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes by email or prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
